HELP FIND SHADOW!
THE STORY OF MY LOST DOG, SHADOW
About in mid October, I lost my Alaskan Malamute, Shadow. I'm not so sure what happened. I guess I was too distracted with other things, that I had no idea about my dog until the next morning. I remember seeing him late that afternoon, which was the last time I saw him other than pictures posted in the internet by rescue groups. I did a pretty good job of keeping him well fed, well walked, happy, active, etc,. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he loved us. He loved every one of my family. My dog never hated anyone. In his whole life, he only disliked 1 person in the whole world, and that was only because he got hit by that person with a stick. This person was my neighbor. But I don't like blaming my dog. What kind of dog enjoys getting hit anyways?!?! Anyway, when my dog left, I looked around for him, checked shelters around my city, posted ads, everything. But my only mistake was that I waited a whole entire week to post him online. If only I had done it just slightly sooner, like maybe a day or so. I was exhausted of running around looking for him. My energy was gone, so I decided to finally post him online. Thankfully, I got a response from this very nice lady who took the time to tell me where my dog was. Only problem was, he had been there for 2 days already, and they usually last only 3 days in the shelter. She gave me the name of the shelter. It was Town Lake Animal Shelter at Austin. Then I realized there was another problem...I read the e-mail around the time they close for business hours. If I lived closer to the shelter, there would have been a stronger chance f seeing my dog again without going through this long journey that isn't over yet. I then looked the place up online. That's when I found out he could only be there for 3 days, then he would get put down. I was worried sick about him, since the next day would be his third there. The next morning, I went there again. The cooperative guy said he had been rescued the day before by a rescue called Texas Alaskan Malamute Rescue (TAMR). But the name is all he gave us. About another week passed. I looked and looked for the place, but nothing online. Then, we couldn't take it anymore. We went to Town Lake Animal Shelter again. They gave us all the information they could. Then again we kept looking for him. We found, at last, contact information to TAMR. I spoke to the president of the place, Margie Serage, on the phone. At first, she told me he was going to Indiana. But people told me it isn't true, and I got lost. Margie was very uncooperative with me. I recall her saying I had no proof of ownership, he was state property, and other mean things. I do understand he became state property wen he was picked up by Town Lake Animal Shelter. But at least she din't have to be so cruel. And I have plenty of proof, from when we got him to when we lost him. I've been looking back on the information that was given to me by her, and I have been studying it. All this information appears to be false, so I know I can't rely on that. After about a month of not seeing my dog, I was looking for other ways. I do know he got renamed Zeth by staff at TAMR. He had a microchip that he got from when he was at Town Lake Animal Shelter. The company was Home Again. I figured the only chances I had was to register his microchip online. So that's what I did. I put it by my name, and I'm still waiting. Nobody else really wants to help me. This might be the only chance I have of ever finding my dog again, unless I get help. I'm not sure which direction to go anymore. I'm trying my hardest to find this dog, and I'm not giving up just yet. My mom tells me to not give up, and I will listen to her on that. Shadow could be anywhere right now. He could even be in a different country for all I know. And I got lost all because I ran into Margie Serage and took some wrong turns. But hopefully this microchip will be a shortcut to the road, and I'll be on track again, but every day goes by, and the possibilities just seem more and more impossible, further and further away. If you know anything, or might have an idea of what to do, or where he is, please contact me immediately. I need serious help. I can't take this any longer. Thanks for your support and time. Please help spread the website. He has to be found.
